Bluegum Ridge Cottages are nestled in 20 pristine country acres at Merrijig. The property was opened up for private sale after being in the Lovick Family for over 100 years. Jack Lovick a local character and horseman, who featured in the Man From Snowy River movie, used the land to graze his cattle in between trips to the high country.
Today you can experience this land for yourself, each of the two newly built cottages have all the modern facilities a pioneer woman couldn't have dreamed of. In keeping with the high country theme each has been designed with large windows for you to take in Mt Buller and the alps from every part of the cottage. The gently undulating land makes it easy for you to discover wild flowers, mushrooms, picnic spots and your own pioneering spirit.
Your hosts Barb and John Hayes fell in love with the property and were lucky enough to follow their own dreams to build a home and cottages on the land and invite you to come and relax and rejuvenate.
